Event Details

Boxcar Gallery presents is 4th Annual Juried Exhibition 

featuring guest juror Jim Robischon of Robischon Gallery. Now is the one and only chance this year to have work reviewed by one of Denver's the best gallery directors! 

 

In addition to being chosen for the exhibition, Jim Robischon will be select one ‘Best-in-Show’ who will receive exhibition space in Boxcar Gallery in 2011. He will also award two ‘Honorable Mentions’.

 

Call-for-entry begins Monday, August 9th at 10am and ends Friday, August 27th at 10pm.

Exhibition Dates: September 3rd to 18th, 2010

First Friday: September 3rd, 2010 from 6-10pm

3rd Friday: September 17th, 2010 from 12-8pm

2D and 3D work(s) are welcome with no limit as to how many times you may enter; entry fee is $10.00 per piece. The fees do not guarantee acceptance into the show.  Boxcar Gallery reserves the right to reject ANY work(s) chosen by our juror. ALL entries are to be submitted electronically, emailed as .jpegs and paid for using eventbrite.com

Please format ALL images as .jpgs, with a 72dpi max; images are to be no larger than 1920 pixels in ANY direction. Please put your first name, last name, title as the file name

For example: John Smith_Title of my work_2010

 

Artist Notification:       

Both accepted and unaccepted artists will be notified via email beginning on Monday, August 30th, 2010

 

Requirements of accepted work:

All work must be dry and ready to hang. A set-up diagram must accompany multiple-piece work. All work(s) selected must remain in place for the duration of the exhibition. Boxcar Gallery retains the right to reject ANY work(s) that are not as represented in the submitted image(s), or work(s) that do not have the appropriate hanging materials.

 

Delivery of accepted work:

Accepted work(s) are the artist’s responsibility to both drop-off and pick-up from Boxcar Gallery. Drop-off is on Tuesday, August 31st from 12:00-8:00pm, work(s) not received by 8:00pm will be rejected.  Pick-up is Sunday, September 19th from 11:00- 6:00pm; work(s) not picked-up by 6:00pm will be donated to charity.  If special arrangements need to be made please contact Sarah Quinlan at sarah@boxcar-gallery.com

Upon arrival the work(s) must be clearly labeled with the artists first and last name, title of work, price$, contact phone number & email.

 

Commission:

Boxcar Gallery will retain a 30% commission on ALL sold artwork(s). Artists may pick-up their money at the end of the exhibition on Sunday, September 19th from 11:00-6:00pm.

 

Liability:

Boxcar Gallery takes every precaution to protect art but is not responsible for LOSS DUE TO DAMAGE OR THEFT or for POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP or CONSTRUCTION.
